Available and 2012 Breeding updates  *(updated 2/8/12)

*Sorry, at this time I have no pythons for sale.   However, check below with the breeding
updates to see what is happening in my Frankenstein lab...
(...and hopefully what might become available in summer, 2012)

Gamma x Speedy 2012

I'm hoping Speedy (50% carpondro) will bring his outrageous Crayola colors and morphology

into the potent Gamma-line (diamond jungle jaguars) to create otherworldly "jagpondros".

For about a month he hasn't let her out of his sight, and multiple copulations have been witnessed...stay tuned!

*Update - Gamma ovulation observed 1/22/12:

Josie x Gamma5 2012

Just looking at these two together makes me go nuts.   Imagine the resultant "jagchondros"

from this pairing (Sorong type green tree python x Gamma-line diamond jungle jaguar).

Multiple copulations have been witnessed.   Keeping fingers and toes crossed on this one!

*Update - Josie ovulation observed 12/29/11:

Eris x 75% carpondro (Morpheus or Merlin) 2012

Eris is a diamond jungle jaguar from the Gamma x Antonio 2008 pairing and here at MTC
on a breeding loan from her owner, Joe Mikkelsen (Maryland).   I'm hoping she'll get the
job done with one of the 75% carpondros for some ultra quality jagpondros.    So far she has
no interest, and no breeding activity with Morpheus or Merlin has been witnessed.

AruBiak GTP x Gamma3 2012
Gamma3 (diamond jungle jaguar) has traveled to Illinois for a date with this big and beautiful
AruBiak GTP owned by David Newman.     Her size and colors (green, yellow, turquoise, white)
are hard to appreciate from a photo, suffice to say she'll make some great jagchondros if things
work out well.

Qali x Morpheus 2012
I haven't ever seen an 88% carpondro, but I'm hoping to in about 4 months.      How about a
black, blue, green, yellow and white carpondro?   These two have had multiple copulations and
seeing them together has me stoked.

Azula x Biru 2012
For two years I have conditioned Azula to improve her health and attempt to breed her.
So far I have witnessed a few brief copulations between her and Biru.   I believe she is a very
old python, however, as with all pythons, she has the potential to ovulate throughout life.
With Biru's  blue-line pedigree and her intense blue morphology, I would expect some very
special "blue" green tree pythons from these two.

Jaguar Carpet Pythons*

*Some information about buying a jaguar and the "Gamma-line" jaguars.

Nearly all jaguars look bright and clean when they hatch until they are about 1 - 2 years old.
At about 2 years of age the lighter area scales on most jaguars begin to darken or "muddy-up".
This darkening process continues for the life of the jaguar, and significantly lessens the beauty
and worth of the python.
Gamma is an exceptionally bright and clean jaguar python, and has not developed any darkening
of her scales despite advancing age and producing several clutches.    So far all of her progeny
have inherited her unusually clean and bright scales.   I am aware of no other jaguar line that has
"proven out" so consistently with these traits.   These factors can be taken into account
to determine the value of a "Gamma-line" jaguar python.
The photo below, taken under fluorescent lighting when the coils of the snake were naturally
stretched, illustrates not only the clean scales of Gamma but the bright white skin underneath.

What you should know when buying a Morelia Trophy Club python:

I keep a small, manageable collection of only Morelia pythons.   I have spent over a decade to

acquire ultra quality breeding stock, and only infrequently bring new animals into

my  "closed" collection (when they are exceptional).   I handle each of my pythons regularly, and

am compulsive with cleanliness and record keeping.   My goal is to produce quality, not quantity,

so I usually only breed about 3 - 4 females a year.   Any python I sell is guaranteed to be mite-

free, feeding regularly, and perfectly healthy.*

*Healthy in jaguar pythons may include mild neurological deficits - see information about this
